Enjoy this short teaser for the forthcoming performance of Creation to be held at Chester’s Roman Amphitheatre on June 17-19. The multimedia design (including motion graphics, video, web marketing, stills and audio production) are all being produced by the staff and students of Computer Science and Information Systems, University of Chester.

Acumen – Training Video

As part of North-west development funding, The Harlequin Project was employed to co-write, direct and produce a sales coaching video to instruct sales professionals. The video demonstrates best practice in generating new business through effective telephone calling.

Included on the DVD, bespoke ‘Acumen’ motion graphics (demonstrated below) were created for the front-end and menu using their existing branding.

The video was filmed on location at the University of Chester in 2009.

Since 2004, The Harlequin Project has been providing multimedia solutions to small businesses, community organisations, local musicians and performing arts groups to help promote their work.

Individually-tailored websites are devised by Harlequin for a diverse client base, and we also create audio and video products to showcase special events and music and theatre productions.

The Harlequin team operates within The School of Computer Science, Mathematics and Business Computing at the University of Chester, and comprises Multimedia Technologies students, graduates and staff.

Another outstanding Theatre in the Quarter production, we were employed to film and edit the show for a DVD production.

Silent Night

Silent NIght was a fantastic theatrical performance produced by Theatre in the Quarter. The Harlequin Project filmed and edited a video production as well as designed the relevant artwork.

In collaboration with The Informatics Centre, The Harlequin Project designed a bespoke web site for a UK recruitment company. The briefdemanded a creative and fresh approach, incorporating a modern, professional feel along with their unique take on human characteristics.

The Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Chester are currently undertaking fascinating research activities into the local area around Llangollen, north Wales. The Harlequin Project was employed to design and develop a bespoke content-managed web site in order for the assignments to be advertised and progress logged. The brief also demanded the design of a logo that represented the excavation.

Another collaboration with The Informatics Centre, this project was a completely new initiative with a detailed design brief. Aside from bespoke branding being produced the web site was to be fully content-managed and fulfil some highly complex functionality.

The Harlequin Project led the design specification through to completion, incorporating a creative approach and maintaining a clean, professional look.

Multimedia for AfriTwin

The Harlequin Project have recently worked on a recording and short video for Matt Baker and three UK schools. Helsby Hillside Primary School, Neston High School and Woodfall Primary School pupils all contributed towards music for an audio CD. In association with AfriTwin, students are heading off to Cape Town, South Africa, for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to learn about performing arts and different cultures.
